I would like to thank you all and convey my deep gratitude for the care and kindness you extended to my dog Brownie and me throughout his life. If I was lucky with Brownie, whose extensive pedigree included no information on his penchant for foot-warming, I was equally fortunate to have stumbled on to your practice when we moved to the area in 2000 - probably through the antediluvian technology of a yellow pages search.  I think that over the years we had a chance to meet just about everyone.  I trusted you all and never had any reservations about anything that occurred before, during, or after a visit.  A person would be wise not to expect that in all of his or her dealings with the world, but it was nice to know I could expect it from you .  The flower and card that we received was very touching, indeed, and just reinforces all that I have said so far.

It only occurred to me in the examining room after Brownie was taken to have the catheter placed in his foreleg that the day before had been Brownie's birthday.  He made it to 14 and had only a few rough hours at the end, which thought has been comforting over the the last week.

I hope the new year brings fulfillment and continued service to others.  You probably don't realize how large a presence each of you has in the lives of the people you see every day.

"I can’t say enough about the professionals at the Veterinary Medical Associates! I consider myself so fortunate to have been able to take my pets to them for so many years. I have had an assortment of pets with a variety of different medical situations and all were handled with the utmost professionalism and care. Starting with the office staff, to the technicians, and to the veterinarians, follow-thru in resolving each medical condition has always been top notch and gives me great peace of mind.

I am aware that in this day and age many people are looking for ways to save money. I know there are veterinary practices in this area that offer certain services at a lower cost than the Veterinary Medical Associates. I have friends that have done just this. However, I also listen to their myriad of complaints ranging from cleanliness to follow-up care, from knowledge of staff to available diagnostic equipment; and finally, just lack of interest from staff in treating their pet. I keep asking them, “Is this worth saving $10 or $20? This will affect your pet’s quality of life!” I’d rather see my pet enjoy a healthy life and live to a ripe old age than to save a couple of dollars. Once you experience the treatment and care from the staff at Veterinary Medical Associates, you’ll never want to look elsewhere.

I may spend a little more money taking my pets to the Veterinary Medical Associates, however, I get a highly trained staff which is always knowledgeable in the newest procedures and maladies, the most up to date diagnostic equipment to evaluate my pet’s health concern, and I know my pet is monitored to the highest standards when surgery is necessary; I get a clean and inviting waiting area with spotless exam rooms; and I get phone calls from my veterinarian when he or she tells me they will call. I can also call the office staff with a question or concern and receive an immediate response or should my question need a little research, I know I will get a response back as soon as possible. If my pet would have a medical issue needing to be referred to a specialist, I know I’ll be referred to a top notch veterinary medical specialist in the field. Veterinary Medical Associates works together with specialists when needed to help continue the quality of life for my pet.

I believe a marker of a good employer is staff retention. My friend has said that when she visits her veterinary hospital, there is always someone different at the reception desk that is not very competent or skilled and the veterinarians along with the technicians always seem to change. No one knows her pet and she has problems getting answers for her questions. They don’t seem to care. At the Veterinary Medical Associates, I have seen very little staff change over the years. From time to time someone new will enter the practice. The staff is trained impeccably and knows and cares about my pets as they have with other clients. I would rather see an employee be paid a better wage which means better qualifications and experience and better training. Think of how nice it is when we visit a physician that actually knows us and cares about our health. I don’t mind paying a little extra for this kind of care.

Finally, for the care and treatment I have received over the years and in very difficult situations, I could not have asked for a better staff. If you care about your pet’s quality of life, you couldn’t choose a better veterinary practice than Veterinary Medical Associates, Inc."

"Veterinary Medical Associates has a remarkable staff of individuals, from the folks working at the front desk to the techs working in the back. Everyone is incredibly concerned about the care and treatment of your animal. The doctors are unbelievable in working with you to ensure that everything possible is done to render outstanding care to every animal they come in contact with.

In addition, if your Veterinarian is not available they are adept at handling it transparently, without missing a beat, providing you with ongoing care and support. This has happened to us many times and the doctor who reviewed the file and discussed the circumstances made us feel as though they had handled it from the beginning. It does not matter who you work with they are all great.

We can not say enough about how they all go the extra mile, above and beyond in providing support with thorough evaluations, follow up and communication from every Veterinarian and staff member you work with. We have had numerous animals during the last 20+ years attending the clinic who have been treated by this truly incredible outstanding group of folks.

I could tell you countless stories and situations where they have taken the time and effort to be there for us in our time of need. Every situation, story, including our current one with Princess, continues to highlight and amaze us with the continued effort and support they provide. After all these years they still keep coming up with new ways to provide extraordinary customer service.

I'd love to share specific names and this most recent story with you but it would not be fair to single one story or folks over the many other times they have worked with us. Those folks working with Princess, who took the time to be available, including over the Holidays, know our feelings.

The group at Veterinary Medical Associates is an extension of our family. THEY ARE A TEAM!! Thanks again to a remarkable team. We are lucky to have them."

"My initial phone contacts with Veterinary Medical Associates were more than satisfactory. The people were friendly and informative. My first informal visit to confirm the microchip number on my new puppy truly clinched the deal. The staff was very cooperative and extremely generous with their time.

My first “official” appointment was equally pleasant. The front desk people, the vet tech, and Dr. Wilhelm were all wonderful. Everyone seemed to take a sincere interest in my dogs, and inspired confidence that they would take good care of my “kids” in the future."

"Last summer we had to say goodbye to our beloved Bubba, our sheltie that Dr. Passinault had lovingly cared for for over 15 years. We believe it was her care and the care of other staff at the clinic that was central to our Bubba having such a long life. Several years ago, Dr. Passinault suggested we begin an annual blood test for Bubba to check on his kidneys, liver, etc. as  a way to  prevent serious problems - Bubba was getting older. After a couple years of Bubba having this test, one indicated a serious problem with his liver. Knowing we were against giving our pets drugs, Dr. Passinault suggested a natural supplement she had heard about at a recent conference. It did the trick and brought his liver readings to normal. Not only has she always honored our wishes concerning drugs, that test, even though expensive, and her “natural” remedy gave us five more years with our Bubba. When it was Bubba’s time to go, the compassion shown by Dr. Passinault and the other staff at the clinic made a heartbreaking time bearable. With their help, our Bubba passed in peace surrounded by people who loved him, including Dr. Passinault."

"The woman I talked to on the phone when I made Angel's first appointment was very informative.  She took the time to answer the many questions I had and seemed happy to help.

Everyone is so friendly.  Even when the ladies were busy with other customers when we walked in they made it a point to say hello to me and Angel.  We look forward to many years of bringing Angel in for care!!"

"The reason I switched my vet clinic was that after talking to Lynn, I was sure this was the clinic for us, friendly and comfortable.  Dr. Greenwald is the nicest vet I have ever met.  After his exams on all of my pets, I completely understood their health statuses"

" Clean, calming atmosphere with the fish tank, cookies a nice touch if you have to wait and the candle makes it warm...Very convenient to make appointments after work because it would be difficult to come during the day.  I scheduled my first appointment with Tracy; she took the time to listen to me.  I did not feel rushed on the phone even though it was probably busy in the office at the time.  The doctors really took their time and were very thorough with their exams.  Dr Munson and Dr BeVirt were very kind and professional and soft-spoken.  During my visits, the doctors talked about treatment, follow-up, and the related costs.

The very professional staff and doctors made me feel welcomed and not rushed.  I felt my pets were handled very gently.  Dr. Munson and Dr. Bevirt took time to explain everything and...answered all of my questions.  ...best clinic I have been to..."
